When Lorne and Monica Cook decided to build a custom house and move out of the residence they had called home for nineteen years, it was obviously a significant and deeply personal project -- one they entrusted into the hands of Meridian DesignBuild, Ltd. The entire process took about ten months and was wrapped up according to schedule -- each step, in fact, was completed "on time" -- and under budget.
Although the couple had little personal previous experience with this kind of venture, with Meridian at the helm they "never felt concerned"; the company "just walked [them] through each step."
Monica remarks, "You hear some of the horror stories ... how hectic it can be. We came with some apprehension, but I can honestly tell you throughout the whole thing it was almost like [Meridian president Joe Balich] was holding our hands through the deal ... [We were] pleased from the beginning to the end ... [Joe] knew what was important to us and he helped us to get all the things that were important to us. I can honestly say I got everything I wanted." (And, Monica confesses, she wasn't expecting that.)

Amazingly, especially considering the intense nature of such a major project, Monica insists, "We thoroughly enjoyed the process; it was fun."
